Mumbai: Bhojpuri film producer-director Subhash Chandra Tiwari was found dead in a suspicious condition in a hotel room in Sonbhadra on Wednesday. According to Inspector Manoj Kumar Singh, in-charge of Robertsganj Kotwali, Bhojpuri filmmaker Subhash Chandra Tiwari, a resident of Varanasi, was found dead in a hotel room in Sonbhadra city on Wednesday morning.

Police said he along with 40 members of his unit had stayed in the hotel since May 11 in connection with the shooting of his film ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se’. The shooting of the film was completed on Tuesday itself. After this, on his return to the hotel, he developed chest pain, on which he was shown to a local hospital. When the door of his room did not open till around 10 am on Wednesday, the staff posted there informed the hotel owner. After which the hotel operator informed the police of Robertsganj Kotwali about the matter.

Police told that, ‘Police opened the door by cutting the part near the latch of the door, then saw Tiwari’s dead body lying on the bed in suspicious condition. At present, the matter is being investigated, the cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem.
