The biggest organization of cricket, ICC i.e. International Cricket Council, has made a big effort to include cricket in the Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in the year 2028. This has been claimed in many media reports. Reports have claimed that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the ICC have agreed to include cricket in the year 2028.
Apart from this, IOC is also looking at India as the biggest option, keeping a strong hold on cricket in view of the Indian market. Several venues have been discussed to host cricket matches in the Olympics. So at the same time, the stadium built in the US for Major League Cricket by the Knight Riders Group can be hosted.
On the other hand, the ICC has estimated that if cricket is included in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, then the IOC can earn about US $ 260 million by selling media rights from India itself.
