Trouble may increase for JKLF chief and separatist leader Yasin Malik. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday sought the death penalty for separatist leader Yasin Malik from the Delhi High Court. Yasin was sentenced to life imprisonment by the lower court in the terror funding case.
The NIA plea will be heard on May 29 before a bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul and Talwant Singh. Explain that the court had sentenced Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin to life imprisonment after convicting him for various offenses under the Prevention of Corruption Act (UAPA) and IPC.
