The Allahabad High Court on Friday directed transfer of all cases related to the disputes related to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Masjid pending in the Mathura court to the High Court. Justice Arvind Kumar Mishra passed the order while allowing the transfer application filed by Ranjana Agnihotri, a friend of Lord Shri Krishna Virajman of Katra Keshav Dev Khevat Mathura, and seven others. The court directed, “The District Judge of Mathura to prepare a list of all such cases and transfer it to this court within two weeks along with the records of these suits or cases. This transfer shall be deemed to have been transferred under the suo motu power of this Court.”
“The Hon’ble Chief Justice is requested to nominate an appropriate bench for hearing and disposal of such litigations,” the court said. The petitioners had requested that the original suit needs to be heard by the High Court itself, as in the Ayodhya case. After hearing the concerned parties, the court had reserved its decision for May 3, 2023, which was pronounced on Friday. The court observed, “A perusal of the facts shows that 10 suits are stated to be pending before the Civil Court and there may be more such suits which have not progressed at all for the last two-three years.
