New Parliament Building: Amidst the controversy over the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House, the full glimpse has appeared for the first time. A video of one minute 48 seconds has been released for the first time on Friday afternoon, in which the look of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and others is visible. PM Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate this building on 28 May. 19 opposition parties including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party have decided to boycott the inauguration ceremony. Opposition parties demand that this new Parliament House should be inaugurated not by PM Narendra Modi, but by President Draupadi Murmu.
Satyamev Jayate is written in big letters on the door of the Parliament House. There are also some drone shots in this video, in which both new and old buildings are visible. Screens have been installed in front of MPs in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. In front is the seating area for the speaker. The temple of democracy i.e. Parliament House is looking very beautiful to see. The design of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha has been kept the same, only the color is different. Several trees can also be seen in the Parliament House complex in the video.
Earlier, only a few pictures of the new Parliament House had come to the fore. When the Parliament House was being constructed, PM Narendra Modi himself had visited there several times. There are many features in this building. Three main entrances have been made in the new Parliament House. They have been named Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar. In this, lounge, canteen, parking space, committee room etc. have also been constructed for MPs and others.
A special coin of Rs 75 will also be issued.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament House, the central government will issue a special coin of 75 rupees. The Finance Ministry issued a notification on Thursday saying, “A special coin of Rs 75 will be issued to commemorate the inauguration of the new Parliament House.” On one side of the coin is the Lion of Ashoka Pillar, below which is written ‘Satyamev Jayate’ . On the left side of the coin ‘Bharat’ is written in Devanagari and on the right side ‘English’ is written in Roman. The rupee symbol is also inscribed on it. On the other side of the coin is a picture of the new Parliament House. Above it is written ‘Sansad Sankul’ in Devanagari and ‘Parliament Complex’ in Roman below. 2023 is also written in international numerals at the bottom. The weight of this coin is 35 grams and it is made up of four metals. According to the notification, this round shaped coin has a diameter of 44 mm and is made by mixing four metals – silver, copper, nickel and zinc.
Denial of hearing on opening petition
On the other hand, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to hear a PIL seeking directions to the Lok Sabha Secretariat to inaugurate the new Parliament House by President Draupadi Murmu. A bench of Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice PS Narasimha told the petitioner and advocate Jai Sukin that the court understands why and how this petition has been filed and does not want to hear the petition under Article 32 of the Constitution. . Sukin said that under Article 79 of the Constitution, the President is the head of the country’s executive and he should have been invited. He said that if the court does not want to hear, then he should be allowed to withdraw the petition. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre, said that if the petition is allowed to be withdrawn, it will be filed in the High Court. Thereafter, the bench dismissed the petition as withdrawn.
