if there is one thing Cock Wolf He is not afraid, it is killing a beloved character. A fact that fans of the One Chicago universe, that is. Chicago Med, chicago fire and chicago police – I know it too well.
The franchise began in 2012 with chicago fire; after his success, chicago police was released in 2014 and Chicago Med followed in 2015. However, the cast of each show has changed dramatically over the years. While some characters were killed off, RIP Leslie Shay, others left the show because they felt it was time.
Monica Raymundwho was a series regular in chicago fire since her debut, she decided to hang up her stockings in 2018.
“It has been an honor to play Dawson on Chicago Fire and one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I am so grateful for the ride and especially all of you for watching, but I have made the decision that it is time to move on to the next chapter of my life,” she wrote on Twitter at the time. “I will always be proud to have played a fierce paramedic with such an incredible cast and crew. To the next one! See you on the ice. With love, Monica.
That being said, the end is not always the end. Dawson wasn’t killed on the show, but he did take a job in Puerto Rico, and the creator Derek Haas he hopes that one day she will return.
“It’s not the end as far as I’m concerned. It may not happen right away, but there is more to that story to tell,” she tweeted after his announcement. “I hope we move on in the next few seasons and have the opportunity to tell about it. I won’t stop waiting if you don’t.
While that may work for Dawson, who still hopes he’ll return one day, other characters were killed off in surprising ways.
