Additional District Judge Satyavrat Panda, Patiala House Court, while hearing the petition, issued notices to all the respondents and asked them to file their replies within a week.
A Delhi court on Friday granted bail to Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s brother-in-law and actor Aayush Sharma, producer K.K. Radha Mohan and South Indian actor Jagapathi Babu after hearing a petition against their upcoming film ‘Ruslaan’. Additional District Judge Satyavrat Panda, Patiala House Court, while hearing the petition, issued notices to all the respondents and asked them to file their replies within a week. The matter has been listed for hearing on June 9.
Social activist Jagdish Sharma and actor Rajveer Sharma, through their lawyer Rudra Vikram Singh, had filed an injunction to stop the release of ‘Ruslaan’, produced by Radha Mohan. Aayush Sharma is playing the lead role in the film. It is alleged that ‘Ruslaan’ is a copy of the original 2009 film ‘Ruslaan’ produced by Jagdish Sharma, in which Rajveer Sharma was the lead actor.
The petition claimed that the defendants had copied the dialogues and story of the original ‘Ruslaan’. The trailer of Aayush Sharma’s upcoming film starring Telugu superstar Jagapathi Babu and Sushri Mishra was released on 21 April. Megha Chatterjee, daughter of veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee, also played the lead role in the 2009 film ‘Ruslaan’. Recently, the trailer of Aayush Sharma’s film directed by Katyayan Shivpuri has been released.
