Alex Currie is Australia’s first-choice wicketkeeper for the World Test Championship final against India and the five-Test Ashes series.
Sydney. Australia have included wicketkeeper Jimmy Pearson in the Ashes squad as cover for backup wicketkeeper Josh Inglis. Inglis will return home after the first Test for the birth of his first child. Alex Currie is Australia’s first-choice wicketkeeper for the World Test Championship final against India and the five-Test Ashes series.
Inglis has been selected as his backup. Inglis will return to Perth after the first Ashes Test and will be replaced by Pearson, who has played 65 first-class matches, ahead of the second Test.
