Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who returned from an important tour of three countries, inaugurated the first Vande Bharat Express train between Dehradun and Delhi on Thursday (May 25). PM Narendra Modi participated in this program through video conferencing. During this, PM Modi while congratulating the people of Uttarakhand for Vande Bharat Express said that this train will connect the country’s capital with Devbhoomi at a faster speed. He said that now the time taken for the train journey between Vande Bharat to Delhi-Dehradun will also be reduced considerably.
During this, PM Narendra Modi also mentioned his recent foreign trip. He said that I have just returned after visiting three countries. Today the whole world is looking at India with great expectations. PM Modi said that the way we the people of India have strengthened our economy, it has instilled the confidence of the whole world.
‘The Center of the Spiritual Consciousness of the World’
He said that the way Uttarakhand is carrying forward the campaign of development keeping law and order paramount, is commendable. He said that I believe that this Devbhoomi will become the center of attraction for the spiritual consciousness of the whole world in the coming times. We have to develop Uttarakhand according to this potential as well.
PM Modi said that people of the world want to come to India to see and understand India. In such a situation, this is a great opportunity for such beautiful states like Uttarakhand. This ‘Vande Bharat train’ is also going to help Uttarakhand in taking full advantage of this opportunity.
‘Previous governments focused on scams’
The PM said that the parties which were in power for a long time, never understood this need of the country. He said that the focus of those parties was on scams, on corruption, they were confined within familyism. Taking a jibe at the previous governments, he said that even the previous governments made tall claims regarding high-speed trains in India, but many years have passed, leave the high-speed trains… unmanned gates from the rail network. Couldn’t even remove it. The situation of electrification was worse.
Addressing the inaugural program of Vande Bharat Express, PM Modi said that only after 2014, the country started seeing the change. He said that we have made many basic efforts to change the railways. All this has become possible today, it has been possible only because of right approach, right policy and loyalty to bring development in the country.
