Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on Wednesday raided the houses of four terrorists at several places in Kishtwar district. These four terrorists are in Pakistan and carry out terrorist activities from there. A senior official gave this information here.
Kishtwar Senior Superintendent of Police Khalil Ahmed Poswal said the raids were carried out in Padder, Keshwan and Thakrai after a search warrant was obtained from a National Investigation Agency court in a case under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
Earlier on May 18, the SIU team raided the houses of five terrorists. These terrorists carry out terrorist activities from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Apart from these, the houses of three suspicious people were also raided in the district. Poswal said that the evidence found in the raid would be used to charge him with anti-national activities and involvement in terrorist acts.
The special NIA court in Jammu had on April 26 issued non-bailable warrants against 23 terrorists from Kishtwar, who were carrying out cross-border terror activities.
Earlier also non-bailable warrants were issued against 13 terrorists of the district. The SSP said that 36 people from Kishtwar had gone to Pakistan following the path of terrorism. Two FIRs were registered against him after his involvement in terrorist activities was found during investigation. (agency)
