Vande Bharat Train: Vande Bharat train is one of the ambitious plans of Indian Railways. Railways is constantly making efforts to expand the train. Now Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has made an important announcement regarding the train. The Railway Minister has said that by February-March of the year 2024, a total of three types of Vande Bharat trains will be operated in the country. Significantly, the Vande Bharat train is a semi-high speed train made with 100 percent Indian technology, which is being prepared to replace trains like Shatabdi, Rajdhani. This train is being manufactured at the Integrated Coach Factory in Chennai.
Three types of Vande Bharat will run in the country
Talking to news agency PTI, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that within the next three to four years, work will be done to upgrade all the railway tracks in the country, so that Vande Bharat will be able to run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour comfortably. Along with this, he informed that a total of three types of Vande Bharat will be operated in the country. Vande Metro will be introduced for distance less than 100 km, Vande Chair Car for distance 100 to 550 km and Vande Sleeper for distance more than 550 km. These three levels of Vande Bharat will be ready by February-March next year.
Uttarakhand got the first gift of Vande Bharat
Significantly, today i.e. on May 25, 2023, the Vande Bharat train has been started between Delhi and Dehradun. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train from Delhi’s Anand Vihar station to Dehradun through video conferencing. Railway Minister and Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami were also present on this occasion. Through Dehradun Delhi Vande Bharat, now the journey between Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun to Delhi will be completed in just 4.30 minutes. Whereas earlier on this route Dehradun New Delhi Shatabdi used to take 6.10 hours to complete this journey. On this occasion, the Railway Minister said that by June 2023, every state of the country will get the gift of Vande Bharat.
track being upgraded
Along with this, he said that the old tracks of the railway support the speed of 70 to 80 km only, but now it will be upgraded to 160 km. Tracks ranging from 30,0000 to 35,000 km across the country have been upgraded and made ready for maximum speed up to 110 km. There is a plan to increase the maximum speed of the track to 160 km within the next 2 to 3 years.
