Delhi residents woke up to rain and gusty winds this morning as the city enjoys a break from a brutal heat wave. A storm forecast was issued today for the national capital and nearby areas.
A group of cloud patches is passing over Delhi-NCR. Under his influence:

“A group of cloud patches is passing through Delhi-NCR. Under its influence: Thunderstorm/Duststorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty wind speed 40-70 Km/h would continue Delhi- NCR and adjacent areas for the next 2 hours,” he said.
The mercury crossed the 45 degree Celsius mark earlier this week, skyrocketing demand for power in Delhi. But the city won’t see such brutal heat until at least May 30, according to the weather department.
A heat wave is declared when the maximum temperature reaches at least 40 degrees in the plains, 37 degrees in the coastal areas and 30 degrees in the mountainous areas, and the output is at least 4.5 degrees.
