Public sector insurance company LIC’s profit increased more than 5 times to Rs 13,191 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2022-23. The company had earned a profit of Rs 2,409 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Life Insurance Corporation of India said that its total income declined to Rs 2,01,022 crore in the March quarter, from Rs 2,15,487 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. LIC’s first year premium income also declined from Rs 14,663 crore in March 2022 to Rs 12,852 crore in March 2023.
Hindalco Industries Limited’s March quarter profit declined 37 percent year-on-year to Rs 2,411 crore. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had a profit of Rs 3,860 crore. Total income in the March quarter stood at Rs 56,209 crore, while expenditure stood at Rs 53,372 crore, as against Rs 56,057 crore and Rs 51,026 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
Leading IT services company Infosys has announced its collaboration with Adobe to transform digital workforce through Infosys Springboard, Infosys’ online learning platform under its Tech for Good charter. Both will aim to create over 10,000 new Adobe Certified Experts globally by 2025.
The company has reported a 9.7 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 1,788.28 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23. While it was Rs 1,630.01 crore in the year-ago period. Total income grew by 22.2 per cent to Rs 6,075.55 crore.
Adani Group Stocks
The shares of Adani Group have risen for 3 consecutive days. Most of the stocks hit upper circuit in Tuesday’s trade. Flagship company Adani Enterprises gained up to 19 per cent during the intraday. In a 3-day gain, the total market valuation of the group registered an increase of Rs 1,77,927.29 crore. The market cap of all listed companies increased to Rs 10,79,497.65 crore.
