Late night an Innova car went uncontrolled and fell into the Sharda canal near Lohiahead. Five people, including three children and a woman, died in the accident. There was mourning in two villages after the incident. Police recovered the dead bodies of the five from the Innova car late at night and kept them in the mortuary. On Friday morning, the panchnama of their dead bodies was handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem action.
38-year-old Draupati alias Durga, wife of late Vijendra, resident of Power House Colony, Lohiahead, along with her daughter, 12-year-old Jyoti, and Innova car driver, Nagra Terai resident, 40-year-old Mohan Singh Dhami, son of Bahadur Singh Dhami, riding in an Innova car on Thursday evening, along with his brother Anjania Budhabagh resident. Went to Mohanchand’s house. Lohiahead was returning to his home late at night with his brother’s son Sonu and 7-year-old daughter Deepika.
