Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli has set off for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final to be played against Australia at the Oval on June 7-11. Kohli was seen at the Mumbai airport along with the better half of him Anushka Sharma. The power couple is likely to travel to Cannes to attend the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
Both Virat and Anushka posed for the paparazzi present at the airport before heading inside to board their flight. Anushka wore a white t-shirt under a blazer and paired it with some super cool denim sneakers. While Kohli wore a black sweatshirt.
The first batch of the Indian testing equipment is already in London. Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav along with the support staff of the team led by Rahul Dravid arrived in London on Tuesday. Net bowlers Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep and Aniket Chaudhary were also part of the first group.
Cheteshwar Pujara, currently leading Sussex in the County Championship, will join the Indian team later in the week to be a part of the preparations. On May 29, after the IPL final, the rest of the 15-member squad, along with reserves Suryakumar Yadav and Ruturaj Gaikwad, will leave for London.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Mohammad Shami, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and KS Bharat are among the players now in India for the IPL 2023 playoffs.
